Robinhood Agentic Trading review
Educational only — not financial or investment advice.
The first mainstream broker to open itself to AI agents: connect Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or Cursor to a dedicated Robinhood account over the Model Context Protocol, and the agent can research markets, check positions and place real orders. The walled-off account, per-trade notifications and optional manual approval are sensible guardrails — because this is a different animal from every bridge on this list. A bridge executes rules you tested; an agent executes its own judgment from a prompt, and Robinhood explicitly disclaims losses from agent decisions.

Pros & cons
Pros
- The dedicated-account design means the agent can only ever touch money you deliberately moved into it
- Guardrails are real: per-trade push notifications, optional manual approval, live P&L feed, one-tap disconnect
- Free for eligible US customers, works with the agents people already use (Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Cursor)
Cons
- No paper-trading mode — the only way to test the agent is with real money
- Early gaps: multi-leg options unsupported, one agentic account per user, thin API documentation, and early testers report OAuth friction outside localhost
- An agent is not a strategy: its 'reasoning' is unauditable, non-deterministic, and was never backtested — and Robinhood disclaims responsibility for its losses
